When I was told about the opportunity to be part of this styled shoot I was giddy with excitement. But truth be told, I had no idea it would unfold quite like this. When Jennifer from Laurel Street Events gave me her vision it seemed like a mishmash of so many themes, colors and ideas. "Could this work?" I thought to myself. Of course Jennifer had an amazing track record of creating the most gorgeous weddings and photoshoots so I trusted her. And I'm so glad I did because all the vendors and all her ideas came together in the most gorgeous way!
I loved that she wanted to do acrylic invitations, it was such a nice touch. She also wanted to use the blue geodes. I remember saying to Jennifer "Do you think they'll match?" and she said "Oh no, I don't want things to be too 'Matchy Matchy' anyways, I don't like to do that." Well SHE WAS RIGHT, they looked gorgeous on the table with everything else.
Every time I'm involved in a styled shoot it's an opportunity for me to meet new talented vendors and I love that part. But one of the most beautiful things I learn from these styled shoots is to push the envelope. That day I really learned the art of pushing boundaries and not being too attached to "matchy matchy" ;) as Jennifer so eloquently put it!
